Iain Armstrong QC

Mr Armstrong is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. He was admitted to the Scottish Bar in 1986 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2000. He was Standing Junior Counsel to the Department of Social Security from 1998 to 2000 and served as Crown Counsel from 2000 to 2003. He was a member of the Standing Committee on Legal Education in Scotland from 1995 to 1999 and has been a Governor of Fettes College, Edinburgh since 1991. In 2008, he was elected Vice Dean of the Faculty of Advocates.
Mr Armstrong was appointed in July 2010 for four years.
