Sheriff Principal Bruce Kerr

Sheriff Principal Kerr was appointed Sheriff Principal of North Strathclyde on1st January 1999. He began his career as an Advocate and was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1973, taking Silk in 1986. He served as a Temporary Sheriff before being appointed Sheriff of Glasgow and Strathkelvin in September 1994. As a practising Advocate Sheriff Principal Kerr was Standing Junior Counsel to the Home Office in Scotland (1982-1985) and was Advocate Depute from 1986-1989.
 
Sheriff Principal Kerr has been appointed until October 2013.
