Sheriff's appointment

Her Majesty the Queen, on the recommendation of the First Minister, has appointed Mrs Fiona Tait, Solicitor, as an all-Scotland floating sheriff based at Airdrie.
First Minister Alex Salmond nominated Mrs Tait for appointment on the basis of a report by the independent Judicial Appointments Board.
Mrs Tait will have a commission enabling her to serve where required throughout Scotland's sheriff courts. She will take up her appointment on January 24, 2011.
