New Appointments to JABS
30 June 2011
The Lord President has appointed two new judicial members to the Board and re-appointed Sheriff Kenneth Ross for a further three years.
The new appointees are Lady Dorrian, who takes the place of Lady Smith, whose appointment expires in July 2011, and Sheriff Principal Bruce Kerr, in place of Sheriff Principal James Taylor, following his retirement.

Appointment of new Sheriffs Principal
30 March 2011
On 22 March Her Majesty the Queen appointed Sheriff Craig Alexander Leslie Scott as Sheriff Principal of Glasgow and Strathkelvin and Sheriff Mhairi Margaret Stephen as Sheriff Principal of Lothian and Borders.
First Minister Alex Salmond nominated Sheriff Scott and Sheriff Stephen for appointment on the basis of a report by the independent Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
Sheriff Scott will take up his appointment on 1 May 2011 and Sheriff Stephen will take up her appointment on 7 May 2011.
